Loevestein Castle Museum Foundation

In recent years, the Loevestein castle fortress has been made more sustainable. Three buildings and a completely new building in the 16th century style have been renovated. This includes visitor toilets with motion detectors for light and water, 5 heat pumps and a pellet bunker and pellet stove. In the castle itself, stained glass windows have additional windows and underfloor heating has been leveled over the old floors without damaging the medieval appearance. The central heating pipes are also insulated and our own vegetables and herbs are grown.
