Subsidy for heat pumps, solar boilers, insulation and heat network in 2021

In 2021, the government will also offer an allowance for making your home or building more sustainable. However, a number of things have changed, for example the subsidy scheme for insulating measures and the investment subsidy for sustainable energy (ISDE) have been merged. There is also a possibility to receive a subsidy for the connection to a heat network. Below we have summarized the renewed ISDE for you.

Subsidy for insulating measures

Up to and including last year, there was already a subsidy for energy-saving measures, the subsidy for energy saving own home (SEEH). This has stopped as of 2021. From the 4 of January you can apply for a subsidy for insulation via ISDE. Many of the conditions remain the same, so you can only apply for a subsidy after the work has been carried out and you must have the work carried out by a professional company. What has changed is that you can now also combine one insulation measure with a sustainable installation. Previously, this had to be at least two insulation measures.

Subsidy for sustainable installations

The type of sustainable installations for which you can apply for a subsidy via the ISDE subsidy has changed a number of times in recent years. With the current ISDE you can only receive subsidy for heat pumps and solar boilers. On the website of the RVO there is a list of installations where you can check whether the installation of your choice is covered by the subsidy.

Subsidy for connection to a heat network

In 2021, municipalities will announce their energy transition vision for heat, which will give you clarity about the heat solution for your district. One of the possible solutions is the connection to a heat network. This is a collective heat solution that uses residual heat from, for example, industry. With the ISDE you can be reimbursed up to half of the connection costs.
