Insulation measures in Amstelveen

From cavity wall insulation to glass insulation, residents share their experiences in these videos.

The municipality of Amstelveen is committed to sustainability. To inspire home owners, the municipality has made videos of residents who have already taken sustainable steps. In the videos they explain why they opted for insulating measures. Please note, the homes that appear in this are often post-war, which means that there are other options than for pre-war homes.

Maarten Evers opted for HR ++ glass. Earlier he already insulated his house and had solar panels installed. In the video he explains why he now opts for HR ++ glass.

Family Noordbos had their floor insulated for two reasons, to save energy and to improve comfort. They did this with air bags.

Homes built after 1920 may have a cavity. That is a space between the outer wall and the inner leaf. Judha and his neighbors had the cavity walls in the area insulated. The procedure is simple, the workers were ready within a day. Watch Judha's full story here.
